New Netball League for Crewe & Nantwich!

Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council through Coppenhall Leisure Centre proudly launched the South Cheshire Premier Netball League on 12th September 2007. This new league now enables players to affiliate to England Netball, play their matches on the full size netball courts and play at a better standard of competition.

The league also acknowledges the needs of ladies who do not wish to play to this level and participate in netball for a social engagement.

The South Cheshire Premier Netball League is made up of 4 divisions and plays across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings weekly across Coppenhall Leisure Centre, Shavington Leisure Centre and Victoria Community Centre.

Imagine8 net Team Prize

Imagine8 became only the second netball team to win a Warrington Sports Personality award on Friday, 2nd February.

The highly talented side were crowned Warrington Sprot Personality Team of 2006, sponsored by Exclusive Fitness, and the announcement of their success came a pleasant surprise.

Team member Joy Randall sad: "I honestly thought the chess team would win but we're delighted."

It was icing on the cake to a great 2006 in which Imagine8 showed their strength on the national stage, lifting the inaugural England Netball Challenge Cup Plate in Bath.

Joy, of Great Sankey said: "The Challenge Cup was the highlight.  It was the first year that England Netball had run anything even remotely like the FA Cup, which was open to any club, so to win that was special.

And they've completely restructured this so with us being one of the top 10 teams in the northern region, from Birmingham to Scotland, we were invited to take part in the Northern league and we're doing very well in that also.".........

Imagine8 currently have players aged from mid teens upward and have plans to open a new junior section soon.  New players are always welcome.  Currently the club trains on Monday nights from 8pm - 10pm at Penketh High School.
