Mike Greenwood 1947-2011

Following a long illness Northern Thunder and Oldham coach Mike Greenwood sadly passed away this morning.

Mike, a legend in the netball world, started Oldham Netball Club 25 years go on retiring from the Army. Through the years the juniors have won 40 National Championships and the seniors play in division one of the National Premier League.

Congratulations to Cheshire U16's Fern Davies, Olivia Phillips and Evie Brereton on being selected into the Welsh national netball squad at this weekend's trials in Cardiff.
 
Olivia and Evie have been selected for the U17's and Fern for the U19's. Well done all of you !
