The NW regional league U14/16 have decided that for season 2011/12, we are run the competition from Oct – March and double the number of entries. Each county will have following entries:
Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire – 4 entries per age group
Merseyside and Cumbria – 2 entries per age group
The dates will be as below and we are planning central venues (this will be confirmed by Mid July):

Sat 19th Nov Sat 3rd Dec
Sat 14th Jan Sat 21st Jan
Sat 4th Feb Sat 25th Feb
Sat 3rd March Only 2 courts all day - Leigh OR Wright Robbie
If we play at central venues around the county, we will have 2 per day to accommodate the numbers of hour games i will however schedule the fixtures such that 2 team clubs will play at the same place. I will also endeavour to keep distances as short as possible. This league will run cash neutral and therefore payment will be required up front by the way of post dated cheques which will be banked monthly. This will be part of the criteria for entry to the league (note fixtures quoted are based on court hire at £30 per hour and are subject to change).

Oct - £67.50
Nov - £33.75

Feb - £33.75
Umpires and table officials will be required to be supplied by each club however if we play at central venues, I would encourage you to share umpires and officials alike. At this time, B award umpires will be required but this is under review and the option for mentored C umpires or C-B umpires may also be an option. Again central venues should give us the opportunity for mentoring, tests etc etc.
This email is to enable counties to gather together the names of the clubs interested in taking part, then the counties can decide if they need a competition to decide on entries. Your county may have some funding available to you but you will have to contact your county for details.
In the meantime, the NDO’s are checking out dates for venue availability and cost. So the deadlines are:
End of June - Venue Availability – if we can accommodate central venues – NW office will book. If we cant, clubs will be expected to find their own venues but the
matches MUST be played on a Saturday.
Mid July - All counties take receipt of interested clubs and decision is made if competition required – if competition required this MUST take place before 15th Sept.
All counties inform the NW Comp group of entries – either the actual club details OR entries to their competition
End July - If all clubs are known, fixtures will be provided.
If not, provisional fixtures will be provided but subject to change
Rules confirmed
Mid Sept - All fixtures finalised and payments to be received. No payments – no entry.
